Completed in 2007, the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal Building is an 85,000 s.f., structural steel structure with masonry veneer which was constructed on the parking site of the existing Amie J. Forand Building in the Fogarty Complex in Cranston. Prior to the commencement of construction a new parking site for the Forand Building was constructed; access to the Forand Building was maintained throughout the construction process.
This two-story facility houses seven courtrooms and administrative office spaces, record storage, the Law Library, Sheriff’s Division, secure sally port, Attorney General, State Police and central holding cells for prisoners. All of the courtrooms are wired for the latest in audio visual systems with touch screen control panels and surveillance security.
